Why take a Summer Session course?

You will have the opportunity to study with top-notch faculty in a robust virtual and in-person environment while potentially fulfilling requirements and lightening your course load for future semesters.

This is a great way to immerse yourself in a single subject and focus on a difficult course or requirement.

Earning College Credit

All courses earn HMC academic credit and, for HMC degree-seeking students, are applicable toward degree requirements. A degree-seeking college/university student may be registered for no more than two overlapping courses (six credits) at a given time.

We encourage prospective students wishing to transfer summer session credits to their home institution to confer with their advisor(s) to determine how the credits will fit in their degree.

All non-high school students may be registered for no more than two (2) overlapping courses at a given time and a maximum of three (3) total HMC Summer Session courses.

The maximum number of credits for which a high school student may register during the summer is six (6) credits or two (2) courses. Only one course may be taken at a given time.

All courses are transcripted using semester credit hours.
